Select ‘New video project’ from the menu. Give your project a name. Click the ‘Add’ button on the left, and select the video that you want to add the audio to. Once the video has been added, drag & drop it onto the timeline. Click the ‘Custom audio’ button. Select the audio file that you want to add to the video i.e., combine with it.

There’s usually more than one way to do anything but here’s how I do it…. Open the 1st file, then use File → Import → Audio to open the subsequent files and they will appear below each other. Click on the file name just-above the waveform and you can drag it to the right. (This has changed recently so this is for the current version.)

Selecting multiple tracks with Ctrl shft or Ctrl does not work for me, I can only select one individual track at the time, weird.
